Hoyt Thomas has over 25 years of business experience as a results-oriented change agent with large and small, public and private companies. He specializes in designing successful plans, translating the plans into specific steps, and achieving required results.
Since 1999, Hoyt has provided management consulting and interim management to a range of clients and industries. From 2004-2007, Hoyt served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of RhinoPak L.P., a $22 million, 300-employee contract blending and packaging company. Improved results led to the sale of RhinoPak to packaging-industry investors in 2007. Hoyt has helped startup companies in energy, technology and life sciences fields with business strategy and implementation planning. Prior to his consulting and interim management career, Hoyt worked with manufacturing, technology, and energy companies, including international experience in Asia. He began his career in the petrochemical and refining industry as a chemical engineer at Exxon.
Hoyt earned his M.B.A. at Rice University, his master’s in industrial and labor relations at Cornell University, and his B.S. in chemical engineering at Texas A&M University. Hoyt has taught undergraduate and continuing education as an adjunct professor and is a member of the Board of Directors of The Jones Partners at the Rice Jones Graduate School of Management. He is an active advisor to the Houston Technology Center, the Rice Alliance, Rice University’s Jones School and the Houston Angel Network.
Christian Alexander has over 20 years of experience working in diverse fields ranging from entertainment promotion to energy. He has considerable experience working in startup environments in both small and large companies. He has served in senior management roles for the last 15 years. Christian was formerly the President of NEXT Ticketing, based in Boston, Massachusetts, which counted the Boston Red Sox among its clients during his tenure there. Christian left NEXT to become the Senior Vice President of Ticketing for Clear Channel Entertainment, the world’s largest live entertainment company. While at Clear Channel, he led groundbreaking negotiations with Clear Channel’s ticketing provider. These negotiations resulted in multi-million dollar financial gains for Clear Channel and ultimately resulted in the decision of Live Nation, now known as Clear Channel Entertainment, to ticket its own events.
Christian joined Organic Fuels just as plant construction was completing, in the fall of 2005. Upon joining Organic Fuels, he was responsible for customer relationship management. His role has grown significantly, and Christian is now in charge of all procurement, sales and marketing activities for the company. He is the primary point person for all customers and feedstock suppliers working with Organic Fuels.
Christian earned his B.A. in sociology and anthropology from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. While at Denison, he founded The Bandersnatch, a student-run coffeehouse, snack bar and performance space that is still in operation more than 20 years later. Christian currently resides in Houston, Texas with his wife and three daughters.
